Kay Albrecht grew up on a ranch near La Veta, Colorado. She started playing piano at age five and always wanted to be a music teacher. Kay taught private piano, as well as chorus and general music for 30 years before retiring to Green Valley. For the past 10 years, Kay has been the Director of Music at Valley Presbyterian Church.

Joan Bell Dakin grew up in San Jose, California, did her undergraduate work (guitar and music history) at Cal State San Francisco and earned an MA in composition at Mills College, Oakland. She taught music throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for twenty years. Her specialties include guitar, Orff Schulwerk (served as president of the Northern California Chapter of AOSA) and gamelan, the music of Indonesia. Two years ago, Joan retired to Green Valley with her husband. She studied drumming with the Tucson Taiko Ensemble, Odaiko Sonora and sings with the Valley Presbyterian Sanctuary Choir and the Green Valley Community Chorus.
